Aspect Match
Problem
Placing a portrait video in a landscape cell (or vice versa) wastes space with black bars and looks unprofessional.
Solution
Aspect Match assigns media to cells based on aspect ratio compatibility. Two modes: Preferred (best-effort matching, tolerates mismatches) and Strict (only places media in cells with a compatible shape). Can be applied per-cell or grid-wide.
Tier Availability
- Free: Not available.
- Plus / Pro: Preferred and Strict modes, per-cell or grid-wide.
UI Flow
- Open Preferences > Grid or the toolbar aspect match toggle.
- Choose Preferred or Strict mode.
- Optionally scope to specific cells or apply grid-wide.
Known Limitations
- Strict mode may leave cells empty if no matching content exists for that cell shape.
- Requires aspect ratio detection to have run; undetected items default to 16:9.
Marketing One-Liner
Aspect Match ensures every cell gets content that fits its shape — no more black bars or awkward cropping.
