Subject Zoom

Problem

Grid cells show the full frame, but subjects (faces, bodies) are often small within the frame, especially in landscape shots or group photos.

Solution

Six automatic framing modes zoom and crop cells to the detected subject: Fill to Face, Fill to Torso, Fill to Torso Only, Fill to Person, Zoom to Body, and Off. Framing is computed per-cell using Vision framework body and face detection.

• Free: Not available.
• Plus / Pro: All 6 framing modes.

UI Flow

1. Open Preferences > Display or the toolbar subject zoom picker.
2. Choose a framing mode.
3. All cells with detected subjects automatically reframe.

Known Limitations

• Requires a detected face or body; images without people are unaffected.
• Framing is automatic and cannot be manually adjusted per-cell.
