Pick Tray

Problem

Favorites are permanent, but users often need a lightweight, ephemeral shortlist while browsing — flagging items of interest without committing to a permanent collection.

Solution

Press P to pick (flag) any hovered cell. An orange flag icon appears on picked cells. The picks drawer shows thumbnails of all picked items. Filter the grid to show only picks, or clear all picks when the session is done.

UI Flow

1. Hover over a cell and press P to pick it (or right-click > Pick).
2. Press P again to unpick.
3. Open the picks drawer (flag icon in toolbar) to browse thumbnails.
4. Click “Show Picks as Grid” to filter, or “Clear All Picks” to reset.

Known Limitations

• Picks persist via UserDefaults across restarts but are designed to be cleared frequently.
• Picks are session-oriented; for permanent marking, use Favorites.
