Hover Sound Preview
Problem
In a grid of muted video cells, users cannot quickly check which clips have interesting audio without opening each one in fullscreen.
Solution
Hovering over a video cell temporarily previews its audio. Move the cursor away and audio stops. This provides a quick, non-destructive way to audition audio content.
Tier Availability
- Free: Not available.
- Plus / Pro: Audio preview on hover.
UI Flow
- Enable Hover Sound Preview from the toolbar or Preferences > Playback.
- Hover over any video cell to hear its audio.
- Move the cursor away to stop the preview.
Known Limitations
- Only one cell’s audio previews at a time.
- Interacts with simultaneous audio setting; if simultaneous audio is enabled, hover preview has no additional effect.
