Grid Padding

Problem

Edge-to-edge grids look functional but lack the polished, framed aesthetic of gallery displays.

Solution

Adjustable grid padding (0-100pt) adds uniform spacing between and around grid cells, creating a framed gallery look. The padding area can be styled with colors, gradients, or shaders (Pro tier for advanced styling).

Tier Availability

• Free: Not available.
• Plus: Grid padding 0-100pt with default styling.
• Pro: Grid padding plus window padding and advanced padding styling (solid colors, preset gradients, custom gradients, ambient shaders).

UI Flow

1. Open Preferences > Grid.
2. Drag the grid padding slider (0-100pt).
3. The grid updates in real time with the new spacing.

Known Limitations

• Large padding values on small windows may leave very little space for cell content.
• Padding styling beyond basic colors requires Pro tier.
