Custom LUT

Problem

Colorists and brand designers need to apply specific color grades that go beyond built-in filter presets.

Solution

Custom LUT loads industry-standard .cube LUT (Look-Up Table) files and applies them to video and image cells in real time. LUTs are applied via Core Image, keeping GPU usage efficient.

UI Flow

1. Open Settings > Video > Custom LUT.
2. Import a .cube file from disk.
3. Preview the LUT on the current grid content.
4. Apply globally or per-cell.
5. Multiple LUTs can be saved in the LUT library for quick switching.

Known Limitations

• Only .cube format is supported; .3dl and .mga are not.
• 3D LUTs up to 64x64x64 resolution; larger LUTs are downsampled.
